I am going to give you a bit of info about the idea of rebound relationships and the reasons why they are not good for you. A rebound relationship is when you start a new relationship with someone else straight after your break up.

The reasoning behind starting a brand new relationship for most people is to make their ex envious of them. The hope here is that the ex will realise how much they miss them and want to rekindle the relationship.

This does work sometimes but it can also go the opposite way. You never know, your ex could see you with this new person and assume that you are moving on with your life and not try to contact you again.

If this happens then you will find it very hard to get your ex back as they may fall in love with their new partner. On the off chance that you do get back with your ex, the person whom you had the rebound relationship would end up getting really hurt.

You could also become really jealous of each other’s rebound partner as well. For instance you might not want to think about your partner being with anyone else.

Things like this could drive someone crazy and they may not be able to put it out of their mind. You could also feel guilty about your time spent with someone else.

The worst thing that could happen in a rebound relationship is someone becoming pregnant. If you’re a male and you get your new girlfriend pregnant it could be very difficult for your ex girlfriend to accept. This also works the other way, if you’re female your ex boyfriend isn’t going to like it if you’re carrying someone else’s baby.

I think that it is safe to say that it is best to avoid rebound relationships altogether. They can do long term damage to your relationship and if you truly want to get your ex back there are far better ways of doing it.

This short piece is going to explain briefly about rebound relationships and the negative effect that they have. A rebound relationship is when you start a new relationship with someone else straight after your break up.

People normally enter into rebound relationships with the main purpose of making their ex jealous. The theory is that if your ex becomes jealous of your relationship they will try and sort the relationship out.

This can really go either way. You never know, your ex could see you with this new person and assume that you are moving on with your life and not try to contact you again.

This will basically ruin your chances and you will never get your ex back. On the off chance that you do get back with your ex, the person whom you had the rebound relationship would end up getting really hurt.

If you do get back together after a rebound relationship it could bring long term jealousy with it. Your partner may not like the fact that you’ve been intimate with someone else since you’ve known each other.

Even though you were technically apart if your ex still wanted you during this time and you were with someone else it can drive them mad. You could also feel guilty about your time spent with someone else.

There is also the chance that someone could become pregnant in the rebound relationship. This could prove extremely hard for your partner to deal with. This also works the other way, if you’re female your ex boyfriend isn’t going to like it if you’re carrying someone else’s baby.

So all things considered I don’t believe that rebound relationships are a good thing. They can do long term damage to your relationship and if you truly want to get your ex back there are far better ways of doing it.
