Flirting Tip 6: Keep Eye Contact: Obviously keeping your eyes on the other person shows them that you’re interested and a gives a sense of intimacy. Don’t stare, but at some point during the conversation, especially if they laugh or smile, keep eye contact a second longer to show them how much you’re into them. It’s not only intimate but it makes most people’s heart flutter.

Tip 7) Non-Intrusive Touching: This is done further into the conversation and can be a simple gesture like putting your hand lightly on his or her hand for a moment. You could also lightly touch the other persons back as you’re walking together. Keep in mind that you should only do this one or two times. If they feel uncomfortable or pull away, don’t do it again and depending on their reaction you may want to move on.

Essential 8: Check them out. Let your eyes wonder over them for a second, but only a second. Especially with women you want to compliment them without saying anything but you have to be careful not make them feel cheap. Break eye contact quickly check them out and reconnect. Do this only a couple of times (that’s 2) and make sure to leave a lot of time between them.

Essential 9: Wrap it up. If you want to wrap it up or leave with them but it’s just taking too long, you can always try out the old “hey, I have to go but I had a great time, and I’m glad I met you” if they ask where you’re going, say you’re going home and see what they say. At this point they may ask to come with you or for your phone number. If they want you to stay, say you’d love to but would they like to grab a coffee with you instead. This gives the two of you some time alone.

Essential 10: Know when to leave. Flirting is like the appetizer of a great meal. If you spend too much time on it, the rest of the meal gets cold. If you leave at the pinnacle of the flirt then your target will want more. So by leaving while it’s still fun you’ve done two things: given them a night that they will remember and open the door for better times ahead.
